Make a Christmas Treat with this Gingerbread Martini


The Christmas season is here and it's time to get festive! One of my all-time favourite ways to celebrate is by whipping up a batch of delicious holiday cocktails for my friends and family. And if you're looking for something a little extra special, you have to try this gingerbread martini recipe.

I first discovered this recipe a few years ago and it quickly became a holiday tradition in our house. The combination of vodka, Kahlua, and Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur) is so rich and creamy, and the hint of gingerbread flavour is the perfect finishing touch. Plus, it's so easy to make!

Ingredients & Tools Needed:

To make a gingerbread martini, you will need:

  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1 ounce Kahlua
  • 1/2 ounce Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur)
  • Cream or half-and-half
  • Nutmeg for garnish
  • A cocktail shaker or strainer to mix all of your ingredients together

Mixing Instructions:

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker or strainer with ice.
  2. Add the vodka, Kahlua, and Frangelico to the shaker.
  3. Shake until well combined, about 15 seconds.
  4. Strain the mixture into an 8-10 oz glass filled with fresh ice cubes.
  5. Add 2-3 ounces of cream or half-and-half to the glass as desired, and stir gently.
  6. Garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

For a little extra flavour, try adding some ginger liqueur instead of Frangelico or using some freshly grated ginger root for an intense ginger flavour. You can also top off your gingerbread martini with whipped cream and sprinkles for a festive presentation.
